Hola, in Te Ngahere we played a game of Tee-ball, a lady called Kasey came in and taught us the basics of how to play Tee-ball, we split into two separate teams, one team was batting first and the other team was pitching. Tee-ball rules are similar to baseball, you still have to run to the different pads and get home runs. Instead of someone bowling it to you, you have to hit it off of a Tee-ball stand. Once everyone had a turn batting, we swapped sides so that everyone would get a turn in the different positions. Tee-ball is a really fun game, I can’t wait to play it again. Do you like Tee-Ball? If you do, what is your favourite position to play in? Thank you for reading my post.

Have You Played Cricket Before?
Hola, in Te Ngahere a man named Neal came and taught us some tips on how to play cricket. We learnt the stance we had to stand in and we also learnt the proper technique on how to hold a cricket bat properly which is making a “V” shape with your thumb and index finger, then grip the bat with the “V” shape. We had to get into pairs and just practice hitting the balls, one person would hit the balls then the other person would retrieve them, then we would rotate. After we practiced for a little bit we played a game of speed cricket. It was a really enjoyable and fun experience. Have you played cricket before?
Do You Enjoy Te Reo Maori?
Kia ora, in Te Ngahere we have been doing Te Reo Maori, we had to write a weather report in Maori for 6 places in New Zealand. We had to include an introduction, a goodbye and the weather for six places. We first had to make a script and then rehearse the script. I think I did well at writing and practicing the script. Do you enjoy doing Te Reo Maori?

What Is Athletics?
Hola, in Te Ngahere we did athletics practice. The teachers organized us into smaller groups so they could teach us different sports activities. My group practised doing shot put. It was fun because we got organized into our age groups, so we could play against people with similar strength to us. I got to help put out the cones and mark where everyone’s ball landed. The technique we had to use was pushing the ball from your shoulder outwards, If you are pushing with your right arm you stand with your left leg out, and if you push with your left arm you need to stand with your right leg out. I think I could have done better at putting more force into the ball. Have you tried shot put before?
What I Did During The Holidays.
Hola, during the spring break I stayed home, I also messaged some of my friends to see what they were doing during the spring break. My friends didn’t have much going on either, so we came outside and hung out a lot.
Me and my family also went to Auckland for a week, we were seeing our family in Auckland. Most of the time we went to different malls like Westgate, Northwest, Westfield and Albany. We were buying stuff that we wanted/needed. We bought two kayaks, and some other stuff. Other than that my holidays were alright. What did you do for the holidays?
